Planning Your Plastic Surgery Vacation in Jupiter, FL
1- Initial Telehealth Consultation
We offer our online consultations allowing you to get started on your transformation without having to come to our office for an initial appointment. During your initial consultation with Dr. Deziel, a customized surgical plan will be recommended based on your goals and a surgical quote will be provided. After the initial consult is complete, you can schedule a date for surgery. Most patients are candidates for surgery in our private AAAASF fully accredited surgery center. If your surgery is required to be done at Jupiter Medical Center or Jupiter Outpatient Surgery Center then an additional facility fee and anesthesia fee will be added to the total cost.
2- Prepare for Your Surgery
Review the provided detailed instructions on preparing for your specific plastic surgery procedure, which will be provided after scheduling your surgery date. Finalize your travel details including flights, local hotel accommodations, and ensure you have a trusted adult to pick you up after your surgery. Depending upon your age and medical history, you may be required to get medical clearance prior to surgery, which often involves a physical exam and lab work done by your primary care physician or by Urgent Care. Your specific requirements to be completed prior to surgery, will be discussed in detail after scheduling your surgical date. All requested testing and documents are due 2 weeks prior to surgery along with payment in full.
3- Preoperative Appointment 1 Day Before Surgery
Even though we can perform most of the consultation process remotely, a face-to-face meeting with Dr. Deziel at least 24 hours prior to your surgery date is required. Your surgical consents will also be reviewed and signed at this appointment. Your prescriptions will be sent to a local pharmacy so they can be picked up prior to surgery. Our primary goal is that you feel at ease with your choices and an in-person exam allows the surgical plan to be finalized and confirmed as the correct procedure for you. In the rare event that your surgeon finds that you would not be a good candidate for the surgery, your payment will be returned to you, and the surgery will not be performed.
4- After Your Surgery
You are required to have a trusted caregiver to drive you home after surgery and stay with you for at least 24 hours. We request that you remain in the Jupiter area for at least 2 weeks prior to traveling home, depending on the type and extent of the surgery performed. Our office staff will work with you to get your post-operative visits scheduled, which can be arranged as telehealth visits after you return home. Failure to comply with post-operative visits can compromise surgical care and outcomes.
